What's it for?
WaveSync does the same job as a midi sequencer, except that it uses WAV audio files instead of midi files. This means that you can use it to assemble and mix
audio files in much the same way as you would use Cakewalk, Cubase or any other sequencer to deal with midi events. You can listen to the results as it plays, or
mix it to an output WAV file, which you can play using any standard Wave file player (the one supplied by Microsoft with Windows, for example), or put onto DAT
tape or CDR, etc. The quality which can be achieved using WaveSync is limited only by the sound card you use for recording samples in the first place, and for
playing the final mixed file.
Any Audio Format!
WaveSync can happily mix mono and/or stereo samples with any selection of different data rates and sample sizes in the same sequence.
No Quality Restrictions!
The quality of output is not restricted by the speed of your machine. Using WaveSync, even on a slow machine you can make a 44k stereo 16 bit mixed output file
from up to 16 (6 on the shareware version) tracks of samples which may be of any supported wave format. WaveSync is certainly faster and more convenient to use
on a fast machine, but it’s a luxury rather than a necessity.
Easy to Use!
If you’ve used a midi sequencer, you will pick up WaveSync very quickly.
